A bit from my week!

So this week I am down 5 pounds. Its been a long week, My daughter got a new kitten so we have had quite a bit more to keep up with. It feels like having a new born all over again. I am still staying on my schedule, and have been feeling better and better as each day goes by. I honestly would have never thought that I would have gotten this far, and feel this great. My goals are becoming closer and closer as each day goes by. I'm so glad that I have finally gotten my life back. Who would have ever thought it was this easy. Granted, it does take a lot of work, dedication, and motivation. At first, it can be hard to start, but just give it a little bit of time, and it will all pay off. We have to always remember to not get discourage if we don't get the results we expect right away.

Everything takes time and effort, and you have to be patient. You also can't just expect the weight to fall off right away, or expect it to just go away on its own. You have to want it! I also suggest being a part of a support group. It helps so much to have people going through similar things as you, and to know that you are not alone. Also, they can always help give suggestions that may help you on your journey to being healthy. You can share your goals, and they can help support you along your journey, especially when you have those rough days. This was one of the bonuses that Skinny Fiber had provided me when I had joined. Some people think that being on a "diet" means you can't enjoy certain foods. For some people this works, others it does not. I was one of them that it did not work for. Everything in moderation is ok. Now that doesn't mean go and eat a whole box of cookies, or a whole tray of brownies. Another thing that has been helpful to me through this journey has been writing my goals and quotes on a piece of paper, and posting them all around my house to keep myself on track. Put one on your mirror, so everytime you look, you remember what your goals are! Little things like this go a long way!

Make sure you also get the right amount of sleep each night. You should at least be getting 8 hours per night. When you wake up in the morning, don't be tempted to hit that snooze button, especially on those long monday mornings. Get up and start your day, read an inspirational quote to start the day on the right foot! Write a little journal for yourself, and remind yourself of your journey. It's a great way to express yourself and what you are going through. If your not a person who works out regularly, then take baby steps. Start off with 10 minutes of exercise each day. Its not about how much you do, its about getting your foot in the door! Take the stairs instead of that elevator, and take walks to relax after a long day! Enjoy the summer while we have it! Pick up an outdoor hobby, like gardening, or working on the outside of your home. I have started a garden this year, and no only has it helped me to keep save money and eat healthy, but it gives me something to do and be active. It reminds me of my journey that I am taking, you start off with a little seed, and next thing you know with some water and sunlight and time, you get to watch that little seed grow into a plant! Just like my journey of weight loss! One other tip that you can change in your daily life is do a 15 minutes of exercise while you watch that TV show or movie. That 15 minutes goes by in no time! Stay tuned and I will share some Nutrition tips that I have done to help myself on this journey! I really hope that this is helping others like me out there. Even if I'm changing one persons life for the better, then I feel accomplished! And always remember IF YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH, THERE ARE NO LIMITS ON WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE.
